A POETIC VISUAL EXHIBIT BY SHAFEE RAMLI
The Art of WAR : The Art of RAW is the first solo art exhibition by Shafee Ramli that is dedicated to post-World War II.

The exhibition, which is inspired by the essence of war and destruction, brings together Shafee’s ‘raw’ surface technique with his strong statement about ‘war’ and destruction.Rather than recreation of reality, the artist wants to express the complexity and intensity due to hostile environment of the war and all its might and military hardware.

The artist strongly believe that ‘art of war - art of raw’ series of painting has the power to capture the atmosphere and ambience of a setting and allows the viewer to appreciate and develop a new understanding of our dangerous but yet fragile world. This exhibition will portray the obliteration caused by one atomic bomb and convey a message that few of us have yet comprehended the all but incredible destructive power of this weapon, and that everyone should take some time to reflect and consider the terrible implications of its use
